All projects need to have a specific start and completion date. This needs to be decided on very carefully before being presented to the client. The length of the project will depend on the specific project that you are working on. Timely delivery of the project will help to build confidence in your client and it will also not cause you frustrations. The scope of this procedure is to ensure that projects are completed in time as had been agreed upon from the start of the project.

    Procedure

Finishing projects on time is dependent with the plan that you had initially come up with. This just goes to say that if you want your project to be completed in record time, then you need to make sure that you have a very good plan at hand. In this plan, you have to make sure that you have the necessary resources that are required for the project. You also need to make sure that the plan is well outlined with each and every step that needs to be taken well defined.

The selection of the team to work on the project can also determine the time of project delivery. Teamwork is always the best if people are working together. You need to make sure that the tem you have selected is able to work well and there are fewer complaints from the team members. Having the right atmosphere with the team will enable the work to be done faster and better. This however does not mean that you look for people that have the same characteristics. All you have to do is to make sure that they are all able to respect one another at work.

Skills are very important for the timely delivery of any task and so you should always make sure that you have personnel with the skills needed for the particular job. This will help reduce the delays that may come about because of lack of skills and it will help make sure that the work is done in the correct way. You need to go for people who have the experience in doing such projects if you want to avoid delays.

Most people have trouble finishing projects in time when the weather is bad. You therefore have to try your best to choose a time when the weather will be favorable for you to do the construction work. Weather is normally very unpredictable but this does not mean that you do not try to avoid bad weather. Working in poor weather can lead to equipment malfunction as well and this will mean that the work will stall until the equipment has been restored or replaced. So for timely project delivery always make sure that you discuss with your client the right time to work on the project, clearly stating to them the hazards that will befall the workers and the negative effects on the project if it is done in unfavorable weather conditions.
