Delays in project completion are not always taken positively. Although there are some delays that can be understood such as unexpected poor weather, there are others that cannot be taken lightly. You as that project manager need to make sure that you have done your best to try and deliver the project in record time. This description aims to help the project managers deliver the projects just in the nick of time by following simple yet effective steps.

    Procedure

The first thing that you need to do is to make sure that right from the start you are destined for success. You need to make sure that everything is in order any you have all that you are going to need for the project. You need to do some consultation and research on project completion success stories so that you can borrow from these stories. This will also help you learn from the mistakes of others who may not have been successful.

The plan of the project needs to be very well done. After you have done your research on the different ways of making the project a success. You now need to sit down a draft a plan o

f action. While doing this you need to seek help from the people who will be part of the project as well as from the client who will be the one left with the end product. You have to come up with a plan that will ensure you do not lack anything while working on the project. The project can only completed in record time if you are aware of what needs to be done, by what time and by whom.

Once you have a plan of action, you need to come up with a budget that you will need for the execution of the plan. You need to make sure that the costing of the project is well done and that no stone is left unturned. The estimates that you come up with need also to be well thought and researched for there not to be hitches as the project is taking place. Project completion can be stalled if there are any constrains especially when it comes to resources.

As the project is taking place there is need to make sure that the project is going on as had been initially planned. This means that you have to make sure that there is a monitoring system in place. You need to look at the progress of the project right from the very start to the end of the project. In this way you can be able to know if there is need to change anything about the project and be able to do so in record time. It will also enable you to make and give the right report to your client if there is need for you to do so. This process can be done by someone who is not part of the project but you have hired them to do so or you can just do the monitoring by yourself.
