Greetings, Planning Engineers! At times, we may need to convert Primavera to Excel to transfer data from our Oracle Primavera schedule to an Excel sheet for sharing with parties who are not familiar with Primavera P6.
Unfortunately, copying data from P6 results in losing the WBS formatting. To address this issue, I have developed an Excel sheet that allows you to copy data from Oracle Primavera and paste it into the sheet.
The macro embedded in the sheet will automatically format the data to match Primavera’s layout. Additionally, the sheet offers various color themes to apply to your data, and with a single click, you can save your formatted data to a new Excel sheet
How to use the Free Tool to convert Primavera to Excel
Open Primavera P6 then “ Ctrl + A “ then “ Ctrl + C”.
Then Open our Excel sheet to paste them.
Then Type “ Ctrl + V” to paste them into this sheet.
Click on “Create” to show the WBS to make the Excel sheet looks the same as the Primavera P6.
Then align the columns
So, to save it click on “Save As”
And the sheet will open a new Excel Sheet with your data.
Choose the Location and click “Save”
Then Close our Excel sheet WITHOUT saving it to be able to use it later
Note: If you face a security issue with the downloaded file as per the below screenshot:
Just Do the Following Steps and It will Work Fine:
1- Right click on the file after you unzip it and click properties
2- Check the Unblock in the security section in the general tab as shown below
