Update Project in P6 Database from an XER File

   Step 1

   Before you start: complete Open the Schedule Update Tool and Select a P6 Project.

   Choose XER Files, then click on the Browse button to open the XER file path

   Open the path and open the XER file

   Check the Data Date, then click the Next button

   This window shows the rules that the tool follows to update. If you do not want some rules to run, you can turn them off, then click the Run Verification button.

   In this window, review the errors, warnings, and changes for the update. Set the working day if needed.

   If there are errors, click the Errors button to fix them, or click Exclude all activities with errors. Then click the Next button.

   Click the Update Project button

   Update finished

   Next: Review in P6

   Follow Review and Schedule the Updated Project in P6 to refresh (F5) and schedule (F9) the updated project in P6.
