Planning Engineer

Position : Planning Engineer

Location : Oman

Salary : OMR 300-400

with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
The candidate must have practical experience in Primavera P6 for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress reporting.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and maintain project schedules, work plans, and construction programmes using Primavera P6.

* Monitor project progress against planned schedules and identify delays or deviations.

* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

* Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and other departments to collect project updates.

* Track project milestones, resources, and critical activities.

* Identify potential project delays and recommend corrective actions.

* Update project schedules based on actual site progress.

* Assist in preparing look-ahead schedules and recovery plans.

* Maintain project planning documentation and provide timely progress updates to management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

* Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

* Minimum 2+ years of experience in construction project planning.

* Mandatory practical knowledge of Primavera P6.

* Good knowledge of construction scheduling, project monitoring, and progress reporting.

* Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project is an advantage.

* Good communication, coordination, and analytical skills.

Preferred Candidate

* Candidates with construction project experience in Oman, India or the GCC are preferred.

* Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period are preferred.
