Mahmoud,
I do appreciate your contribution to our learning experience. I have reviewed your feedback concerning my report. I do agree with you in some areas and also disagreed with in other areas which I have narrated below:
1- Yes we are saying the same thing; my report has the “Material Submit Form Lighting Fixture” indicated as a “clear event”
2- I did not include any non-event in my report; no need wasting the project manager’s time with non issues
3- “18- I agree as per original schedule, the contractor would have completed procurement of all paint material including ETA (Expected Time of Arrival) on site on 20-Oct-12 as you indicated, but this SWI dated 15-Mar-13 was issued at the final stage of construction – Structure Finishing (Painting Final) 18-Mar-13 To 03-Apr-13. I do not however, believe this to be a clear event but a Hidden event. This is because the contractor was instructed per this SWI to change the Final Painting Color only 3 days to its scheduled start. Considering that this activity has only 2 days float,”we may need to file an EOT claim due to time required to complete a new and separate procurement for the current specified paint color as the lead-time will likely eat up the 2 days float, and impact the critical path.
I hope my counter-explanation helps add some value to our learning experience on this important topic. Please feel free to let me know if you still feel otherwise.
Thanks.
