Thanks for your response, I understand the info you provided, but I am still looking for clarity on the delay fragment. To further clarify…
Let’s assume 12 months of planned project delayed, in actual total duration 24 months. Project completed 31 Dec 22. Assuming there is additional works issued in the beginning of Month-08 (add on works are independent to original works), assuming additional works requires reasonable duration 2 months engineering 1 month delivery 2 months installation 1 month close-out). The EOT is being prepared using retrospective time slice analysis (window analysis), with 24 windows.
As per retrospective window analysis procedure, I will add the fragnet to 31 July 22 (Month 07) updated programme.
Question
The fragnet I add to the month-07 programme will be full 6 months fragnet or the fragnet cut-off date will be 31 Aug 22. If the fragnet added is full 6 months (there is possibility) schedule may show the result that the project in the month of Aug which is 31 days delayed 6 months, which is illogical (delay cannot be greater than window span except for holidays). If I dont add the full fragnet and limit the fragnet till 31 Aug 2022, how can I justify my analysis because I am not considering the full scope of add on works, further problem what will be the successor of my delay event fragnet ending on 31 Aug 2022.
sorry for late response
