I hope this email finds you well,
As a reply to your concerns:
1. Regarding the concerns about how to calculate the quantities/units of other resources (equipment and materials) and their daily consumption, you can follow the same steps that we did while creating the resources loading but with adding columns for the needed resources. For the equipment, you can add columns for the loader, excavator, and crane. etc. Then, add the productivity rates of each equipment as we did for the labor in the course.
The materials tracking and calculations are more related to the cost control engineers’ scope than the planning engineers. Therefore, I recommend having the cost control course at the following link: https://planningengineer.net/courses/cost-control-for-construction-projects/
2. Regarding the concerns about calculating the activity duration. Calculating the duration of the activities is mostly based on previous experiences. You can either fully depend on the previous experiences or use the PERT equation where you predict the optimistic (O), pessimistic (P), and most likely duration (M) for the activity combining them into this equation (O + 4M +P) / 6.
I hope this reply answers your questions.
Kind Regards.
